Architectural Inspiration: The Kulintang’s Harmony in Structure

The architectural concept of the Malabang Bus Terminal takes direct inspiration from the kulintang, which is widely recognized in Mindanaoan culture as a symbol of rhythm, connection, and harmony. The structure mirrors the instrument’s layered design, incorporating fluid, wave-like roofing and intricate patterns reminiscent of the metal gongs used in the kulintang ensemble.

The terminal’s aesthetic design reflects the careful craftsmanship and attention to detail that define traditional musical artistry.
